As a Church of England School, Religious Education (RE) is one of the key foundations upon which Axbridge First School Academy is built. We are proud of our Christian distinctiveness and the teachings of the Christian Church are an important part of our daily school life. Alongside our Christian focus, we want all our children to develop a broad and tolerant understanding of the world in which they are growing up. Our RE curriculum plays an essential part in fostering understanding, respect and appreciation of the diverse religious beliefs and practices that exist within our community and beyond. We believe that a rich and inclusive Religious Education plays a crucial role in the moral and spiritual development of our pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate a multicultural society.
